Happy Birthday to Anna. She left 2 months ago to help in some orphanages in Ecuador. We miss her, but are so thrilled with what she is able to do. She loves it so much and is so needed there. She is celebrating her 20th birthday today, so here's to you girl.

An excerpt from Anna:

... in Heaven we told these kids that we would find them, no matter where they were. I know I did. I know that is why I am here. Is because I promised Brayan, Martin, Diana , Jorge, Laurita, Louis, All of them. I promised them that I would find them and that I would come and help them and be with them and love them. And that is what I am doing. ... they are here for us. They are here to teach us and help us. I believe that with my whole heart. Sometimes I wonder why Heavenly Father keeps them here or why he lets them go through the things that they are going through. Like Pablito, he has been having seizures again and I think he is getting ammonia too. But, I wonder why does he let them suffer? But I know that Pablito is so close to Heavenly Father. I know Heavenly Father comforts him and takes away his pain because I know he is here for me and not to be hurt. It is a lot to comprehend though, but I know there is a reason for it. You can't but help feel the angels that surround theses kids and that are watching over them so closely.

Kevin and I spent the week end out in Escalante and took an ATV trip out to see "The Hole in the Rock". We had good weather and excellent company. We saw a lot of old friends and met a lot of new.

A Cold Rainy Marathon 2008

Rachel ran a 3 hour and 44 minute race and Heidi ran a 5 hour 2 minute race. It was Heidi's first race and Rachel's second. They both had some hypothermia when they finished. There were many that didn't finish because of the weather. It added an extra degree of difficulty. Way to go girls, we are so proud of you.

Hike on Pine Valley

So we hiked up Pine Valley today and found a new trail that we had looked for several other time and saw some beautiful autumn leaves in yellows, reds, and oranges. The mountain was shimmering and looked on fire. The leaves are just beginning to change. The only bad part was the company we had to keep on the way down. We ran into this huge bull slowing working his way down off the mountain and this was my scenery for several miles. The trail is very narrow and we couldn't get around him.

This is Anna here and i am just reporting in! I am at Dixie State Soccer camp this week and it is going good! I have been really nervous cause i didnt know how my soccer coach was gonna treat me. When i first told him i wanted to play he told me there is no way that i could and that he would send me home the first day of try outs. So, i got determinded and have gained a heart and love for soccer. I play all the time now and have been on a club soccer team that has done me so much. Shout out to my coaches! :D I was determinded to show him that i wanted to play. So, in this 110 degree weather i am tryin to. I get a little discouraged sometimes but i am holding my own. I think he is impressed with me! he has complimented me and such! He even told me today i have the heart for soccer!

I had one of my beautiful nieces get married on Sat. Weddings are such a monumental moment.

We had gotten back the day before from a few days in Dallas Texas, where we were able to hook up with a missionary buddy of Kevin's that we hadn't seen in many years. We had a great evening with them. We stayed at a real nice motel and I especially enjoyed this little 'happy Budda" statue that was on the grounds. He looks like he loves life and made me feel glad inside.

Kevin celebrated a birthday on Friday and we had Mother's Day today and got to talk with our son who is in Hobbs New Mexico on a mission. He's been out one year now and is such a good and faithful son.

My heart was touched by his dedication and graditude; as it is by all my children. They are all very generous with graditude and praise. There good lives bring me honor and joy.

Children begin by loving their parents; as they grow older they judge them; sometimes they forgive them. Mine are very forgiving and kind.

We attended General Conference with Lex and Kelsey. Nikki came with us on Sunday. She about froze to death before we got her her ticket though. It was cold in Salt Lake. Notice the temple in the picture and mall that isn't there anymore. I think the new project will be done in 2012.

I DID IT! I BLOGGED!! I am proud of myself. The other thing that i think is awesome that i got to do was.... i got to go to a Colbie Caillet concert! It was AMAZING!! She is so good in concert and presents herself to the crowd so good! It was so so much fun! I got to go with my girlfriends and it was a lot of fun! I was second row dead center! Jealous i know you all are! I had alot of fun though! Love ya all! :D

What an experience. Peru is a land of many wonders. From perauhnea and pink dolphins in the Amazon to the Inca ruins in the high Andes with the small Chetchuwa people. It was a trip of a life time.

Hurray! She's here. Livvy Ellen Schwartz arrived today about four thirty this afternoon, March 17, St. Patricks Day. She weighed 6 lbs. 10 oz and was 20 in long. Mother and baby are both doing well. We are so happy to have her join our family. Drew isn't too sure about her yet though. Anna is flying out tomorrow and staying for a week. I am in Peru right now and go out as soon as I get home. We have been in the Amazon the past three days and are going to the Inca Ruins in Cuzco the next few days.

Well, anyway, welcome to our new grand daughter.

Being grandparents sufficiently removes us from the responsibilities so that we can be friends.

Grandmas never run out of hugs or cookies.

It is as grandmothers that our mothers come into the fullness of their grace.

Everyone needs to have access both to grandparents and grandchildren in order to be a full human being.

It's such a grand thing to be a mother of a mother - that's why the world calls her grandmother.

Do you know why grandchildren are always so full of energy? They suck it out of their grandparents.

Leo and Susette Sullivan

Uncle Leo and Aunt Susette flew home on a chartered plan Mon. They have been in Guatemala on a mission for about nine months. Leo had some back problems and couldn't move, so he came home and is in the hospital for a few days. He had a tear in his spinal colomn that was letting the fluid out and causing pain and problems. Steroid treatment and time will help heal it up. I am greatful for their example of service. This is their second mission. We are glad to have them back among us.
